Mitsubishi Lane Departure Warning
Mitsubishis Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system utilizes special cameras on the front windshield to monitor the lane markers on the road. If the vehicle begins to drift over any lane marker, the driver will receive an audible and visual warning to alert him/her.
Mitsubishi Lane Keeping Assist
Mitsubishis Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) utilizes the same technology and components as Lane Departure Warning; however, it takes the safety aspect one step further. If your vehicle begins to drift even after there is no response to the audible and visual warning, the system will move your vehicle back into the lane.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
One of the most dangerous locations is a parking lot, as accidents tend to happen there quite often. The system uses sensors on the rear of the bumper to sense vehicles coming from the left or ride side. Warning lights on both side mirrors will blink, an audible sound and a warning message will appear.
Forward Collision Mitigation
Forward Collision Mitigation system uses both camera and laser radar technology to determine if a front end collision is likely. Not only would it monitor for other vehicles ahead but also for pedestrians. If the system senses that a collision is imminent, it will warn the driver with audible and visual warnings. If the driver does not react, the system will initiate braking to reduce the severity or avoid a collision.
